Freestyle Factory Team Prepares for the First Annual Aqua Bowl

Antioch, IL ? Freestyle Factory?s pro freestyle jet ski team, Team Twangled, is busily preparing for his year?s biggest PWC competition in the Midwest. On August 9th, the team will depart from their waterfront training facility and shop on the Chain of Lakes in Northern Illinois to participate in the first annual Aqua Bowl in Minocqua, Wisconsin. ?This is a fantastic experience. We rarely get to ride in amphitheaters and this is one of the largest in the nation!? Said Gary Burtka, Freestyle Factory team captain and Co-Founder. The Freestyle Factory team will not only have representation in Pro and Amateur freestyle competitions on Saturday, which they will hope to leverage into tour championships and qualifying positions for the World Finals, but are also planning a special freestyle stunt show for Saturday evening immediately following the races (5 pm tentatively).

If you have not yet seen freestyle jet skiing, you are in for a treat! The team from Freestyle Factory comprises some of the Nation?s top amateur and pro riders capable of back flipping and barrel rolling the watercraft above the water, and can take the watercraft completely below the surface of the water making for some fantastic submarine tricks.


If you are not a stranger to freestyle jet skiing, the make sure arrive early for a good seat. Some of the newest tricks include triple back flips and no-hander lander back flips, tricks that were once only available in video games.
Come on down to the Aqua Bowl and watch the #3 US Pro Freestyler and last year?s Great Lakes Watercross Tour Champion , Gary Burtka, try to defend his championship against the likes of Greg Brock, Tommy Fransee, Joe Eckert and Zach Genrich in the pro freestyle competition. These ride custom hybrid carbon fiber jet skis, which boast 900-1200 CC engines pushing more than 300 HP ? These jet skis actually fly!
The amateur freestyle competition will also be off the hook. These top local riders will utilize highly modified commercially available watercraft such as the jet ski and super jet to showcase the best of flat water freestyle. Watch the MidWest?s top female rider and returning Great Lakes Watercross amateur freestyle champion, Jessica Wiebesiek try to defend her championship against the current tour point?s leader Joe Anderson and rookie sensation Logan Paterson.
